Tyler the Creator Thanks Chromakopia Listeners: ‘I’m at a Different Point in My Life’

Tyler the Creator is embracing the incredible response to his latest album, Chromakopia, calling the reaction to the project unlike anything he’s experienced before. The album, which dropped on a Monday in October, has already been hailed as one of the best releases of 2024. In a series of Instagram Stories, Tyler took a moment to show gratitude to everyone who’s given it a listen—whether they loved it, hated it, or found themselves somewhere in between.

“Thank you to everyone who has listened, skimmed through, put it on repeat, turned off, loved it, hated it, grew on, grown off, related to, was foreign to, anything,” Tyler wrote, adding that he truly appreciates “any ears” his work has reached.

Reflecting on how his life and mindset have shifted over the years, Tyler explained that Chromakopia reflects a different phase in his journey—one that might be unfamiliar to fans who first connected with him through his earlier music. “I’m at a different point in my life than I was when most of you met me,” he shared. “So to share these thoughts or feelings that I may/may not have lightly touched on before felt like such a release, and to see so many of you resonate with it is such a great feeling I’ve never experienced.”

Tyler also took time to shout out two insightful interpretations of the Chromakopia track “Judge Judy,” showing his appreciation for fans who connect with his music on a deeper level. With Chromakopia, Tyler continues to evolve as an artist, sharing more introspective and mature themes while still engaging fans in new and meaningful ways.
