Ice Cube is back and ready to make waves with his highly-anticipated album Man Down, dropping on November 22. The Compton legend, known for his impact on hip-hop since the days of N.W.A, took to social media on Monday (Nov. 11) to share the news along with the album’s striking cover art.
“The album my fans have been waiting on,” Cube captioned his post, signaling that this release will deliver the hard-hitting, authentic sound fans expect from him. The cover features a powerful image of a young Black teen walking along a street lined with workers and community members face down and seemingly unconscious, setting a heavy tone for the album’s themes.
Fans quickly took to the comments to express their excitement. “Ohh some pissed-off Cube, and we’re loving it,” one fan exclaimed, while another added, “Woahhhh let’s get it Cube, much love and respect!”

Man Down will be Cube’s first album since 2018’s Everythang’s Corrupt, and this time around, he’s brought in some of the West Coast’s finest. The 19-track album includes collaborations with hip-hop icons Snoop Dogg, Too Short, E-40, Xzibit, B-Real, Busta Rhymes, Kurupt, October London, and more. Fans can also look forward to previously released singles like “It’s My Ego” and “Ego Maniacs” being featured on the project.
In an interview with Bootleg Kev, Cube shared his commitment to delivering music that resonates with longtime fans. “Being in the game for almost 40 years, I’ve seen waves come and go,” he explained. “When I pick up an Anita Baker record, I want it to sound like Anita Baker. Ice Cube fans are the same way. They want authentic, quintessential Ice Cube. That’s what I’ve been focused on — doing records that are totally me.”
