Bad Bunny Continues to Dominate Hot Latin Songs Chart with ‘DtMF’

Bad Bunny has once again proven his unstoppable reign in Latin music by replacing himself at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart with his latest hit, “DtMF.” This achievement cements his status as the only artist to accomplish this feat five times since the chart’s inception in 1994. His ability to continually outdo his records showcases his unparalleled influence and popularity in the industry.

The streak began in 2019 when “La Canción,” his collaboration with J Balvin, gave way to his solo track “Vete.” Since then, he has consistently traded spots with his songs, including “Moscow Mule” and “Me Porto Bonito” in 2022, and more recently, his featured role in Drake’s “Gently,” which stepped aside for “Mónaco.” Now, “DtMF” claims the top position, further solidifying Bad Bunny’s legacy as a chart-topping phenomenon.

“DtMF” surged to No. 1 with impressive numbers, earning the Greatest Gainer/Streaming honours during its first full tracking week. According to Luminate, the song amassed 34.9 million official streams and 2,000 downloads in the week ending January 16. These figures also propelled it to No. 1 on the overall Streaming Songs and Latin Streaming Songs charts, securing a No. 16 debut on the Digital Song Sales chart and a leap from No. 2 to No. 1 on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart.

Beyond dominating the Hot Latin Songs chart, “DtMF” made a remarkable jump on the Billboard Hot 100, climbing from No. 38 to No. 2. This marks Bad Bunny’s highest position on the chart since his collaboration with Cardi B and J Balvin on “I Like It” reached No. 1 in July 2018.

As “DtMF” takes the crown, Bad Bunny extends his record among Latin rhythm artists with his 16th No. 1 hit, tying with Luis Miguel for history’s second-most chart-toppers in Hot Latin Songs. Enrique Iglesias remains the leader with 27 No. 1 hits, but Benito’s ongoing success shows no signs of slowing down.

Bad Bunny’s continued dominance is a testament to his ability to connect with fans through his music, solidifying his place as one of the most influential artists of his generation.
