Rosalía lit up The Tonight Show stage on Sunday night (Nov. 16) with a mesmerizing performance of “La Perla,” taken from her latest album LUX. While the track originally features Yahritza y Su Esencia, Rosalía delivered the moment solo, transforming the studio into a dreamy fairytale brought to life.
She floated onto the stage in a pearlescent, shoulderless gown that gave her the look of an ethereal ballerina. Her voice, warm and piercing, shined over sweeping strings as she blended delicacy and strength in the way only she can. The visual design elevated the moment even further. With the camera slowly pulling back, viewers discovered Rosalía balancing on a towering stack of lilac-draped mattresses, a clear nod to The Princess and the Pea. As the performance reached its peak, she descended with the help of two assistants and revealed a massive pearl, giving the number a theatrical final touch.
Rosalía also brought her signature charm to the interview. She gave Jimmy Fallon an impromptu introduction to flamenco technique, teaching him posture, clapping patterns, breath control, and lip flutters. Fallon attempted to sing a line from “La Perla” in Spanish, stumbling through it with playful enthusiasm, while Rosalía laughed and guided him patiently, showcasing her effortless vocal command.
The night also marked a milestone for the Catalan star. In the latest Billboard 200 update, LUX entered the chart at No. 4, giving Rosalía her first-ever top 10 debut on the ranking.
