Presha J Reflects Faith and Growth on “8PM In Accra”

“8PM In Accra” by Presha J highlights the UK-based artist’s blend of Christian rap and hip-hop, delivering honest storytelling rooted in faith, resilience, and hope.

Born and raised in East London with Ghanaian heritage, Presha J developed his passion for music at an early age, supported by his older sister. He first made his mark in London’s underground grime scene, performing on pirate radio and local stages, where his raw lyricism and strong presence set him apart.

A life-changing moment in 2007 shifted his direction. After stepping away from gang culture, Presha J refocused his music on positive messages shaped by his Christian faith, using his platform to reflect growth and purpose.

With over a decade of recorded work, his catalogue shows clear evolution. His debut Changes EP (2008) introduced an introspective and testimony-driven style, while later releases such as Recovery (Freestyle), Presha, and Fatherhood document his journey as a man, husband, father, and leader.

“8PM In Accra” continues that path, drawing from both faith and lived experience to deliver music that aims to inspire, encourage, and leave a lasting impact.
