Cypress Hill Embrace Latin Roots on First All-Spanish Album ‘Dios Bendiga’: ‘It’s a Prayer for the Culture’

Cypress Hill have officially released Dios Bendiga, the group’s first full-length album performed entirely in Spanish, marking a major milestone in their more than three-decade career. The hip-hop pioneers unveiled the project as a celebration of their Latin heritage, with members B-Real, Sen Dog and Eric Bobo describing the album as both a tribute to their roots and a message of unity for Spanish-speaking fans around the world.

Speaking about the project, the group explained that Dios Bendiga, which translates to “God Bless,” represents “a prayer for the culture” and reflects the communities that have supported Cypress Hill since the beginning of their career. The album blends the group’s signature West Coast hip-hop sound with Latin influences while featuring lyrics delivered entirely in Spanish.

The project includes collaborations with several Latin artists and producers, expanding Cypress Hill’s reach across the global Latin music market. While the group has previously released Spanish-language versions of select songs and incorporated bilingual lyrics into their catalog, Dios Bendiga marks the first time they have dedicated an entire studio album to the language.

The release arrives as Latin music continues to enjoy record-breaking global popularity, with hip-hop and regional Latin styles increasingly intersecting across streaming platforms and live performances. Cypress Hill said the album was years in the making and was inspired by the desire to create a body of work that fully embraces their cultural identity while remaining true to the sound that made them one of rap’s most influential groups.

To support the album, Cypress Hill are continuing their 2026 touring schedule with festival appearances and headline performances across North America and Europe. The group is expected to incorporate material from Dios Bendiga into its live shows, introducing the new Spanish-language songs alongside classics from its extensive catalog.
