“Morning Dew (Donk)” had been steadily moving up the Adult R&B Airplay ranking since its surprise release in July. The song previously reached the chart’s top 10, giving Beyoncé her 10th career top-10 appearance on the tally. It also became her 35th top 10 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
The track was released as part of the rollout for the upcoming 20th-anniversary edition of B’Day. Beyoncé surprised fans with the song on July 4, presenting it as a bonus track connected to the anniversary reissue of her second solo studio album.
Before reaching the summit, “Morning Dew (Donk)” had already established itself across several R&B-related Billboard rankings. The song reached No. 3 on Hot R&B Songs and also posted new peaks on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay. It additionally reached No. 2 on the R&B Streaming Songs chart.
The Adult R&B Airplay achievement adds another No. 1 to Beyoncé’s extensive radio-chart history. Her catalog has generated major successes across Billboard’s R&B and R&B/Hip-Hop radio rankings, including “Love on Top,” “Irreplaceable,” “Cuff It,” “Break My Soul” and “Drunk in Love” with Jay-Z.
The latest chart result arrives as Beyoncé’s B’Day anniversary campaign continues.
