Alison Krauss & Union Station and Sister Sadie are among the leading nominees for the 2026 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Bluegrass Music Awards. The nominations were announced in July, with both acts receiving recognition in several major categories.
Alison Krauss & Union Station are nominated for Entertainer of the Year alongside Billy Strings, Sister Sadie, East Nash Grass and The Del McCoury Band. The group is also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year, while Krauss receives an individual Female Vocalist of the Year nomination.
Sister Sadie also appears prominently across the nominations. The group is up for Entertainer of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year, while its album All Will Be Well is nominated for Album of the Year. The band also received nominations in additional categories for its recordings and performances.
Other Entertainer of the Year nominees include Billy Strings, East Nash Grass and The Del McCoury Band. The Vocal Group of the Year category features Alison Krauss & Union Station, Authentic Unlimited, Sister Sadie, Blue Highway and Red Camel Collective.
The Album of the Year nominees are Trey Hensley’s Can’t Outrun the Blues, Sister Sadie’s All Will Be Well, East Nash Grass’ All God’s Children, Appalachian Road Show’s Della Jane’s Heart and Becky Buller’s Songs That Sing Me.
The Song of the Year field includes “Broken Angels” by The Grascals and Dolly Parton, “Can’t Outrun the Blues” by Trey Hensley, “New Cluck Old Hen” by Steve Martin and Alison Brown featuring Della Mae, “Cost of Living” by Authentic Unlimited and “Finding Your Way Home” by Red Camel Collective.
The 2026 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards are scheduled for Oct. 22 at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as part of the IBMA World of Bluegrass events. The awards will mark the 37th annual ceremony.
The 2026 Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inductees include Byron Berline, the Nashville Bluegrass Band, Barry Poss and The Lost & Found. Additional IBMA Momentum and Industry Award honorees are part of this year’s broader awards program.
