Zach Bryan Breaks Gillette Stadium Attendance Record While Wearing ‘Free Palestine’ Shirt Again

Zach Bryan set a new attendance record at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, while once again wearing a “Free Palestine” shirt during his second show at the venue. The country singer performed for 73,538 fans on Saturday, Oct. 3, marking the largest crowd for any event in the stadium’s history.

The record-setting concert was the second of two shows Bryan performed at Gillette Stadium as part of his With Heaven On Tour. The venue confirmed the attendance figure following Saturday night’s performance, surpassing the previous record of 71,723 fans.

The previous Gillette Stadium attendance record was held by Ed Sheeran, who drew 71,723 people to the venue in 2023. Bryan’s new mark now stands as the largest attendance for an event at the Foxborough stadium.

Bryan had already attracted attention during his first Gillette Stadium performance on Friday, Oct. 2, when he appeared onstage wearing a black shirt displaying the words “Free Palestine” along with “An Appeal to Heaven” and a pine tree design. Several members of his band also wore clothing supporting Palestine during the performances.

Bryan wore the same shirt again during Saturday’s record-setting show. The appearance came only weeks after controversy surrounding rapper Macklemore and the same venue. Macklemore had been removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour after making pro-Palestinian remarks during a performance, with Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft later saying that the rapper would not be allowed to perform at the stadium.

Macklemore’s removal from Sheeran’s tour led to further developments involving the tour’s other opening acts, while Macklemore subsequently announced his own concerts centered on his support for Palestine. Sheeran’s scheduled Gillette Stadium shows were later canceled because of severe weather concerns.

Bryan’s two-night appearance therefore became another high-profile music event at the venue involving a public show of support for Palestine. The singer did not issue a separate statement explaining his decision to wear the shirt during the concerts.

The 73,538 attendance figure adds another major stadium milestone to Bryan’s current touring run. His With Heaven On Tour has included large-scale stadium performances across North America and Europe, following a series of major stadium shows in 2025.
