‘Texas’ Two-Step: Ella Langley & Lainey Wilson Lead Country Song Charts

Langley’s single Choosin’ Texas has claimed the No. 1 spot on the singles chart, backed by 12 million streams according to the latest data from Luminate.

“Choosin’ Texas,” released in October 2025, was written by Langley along with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, and Joybeth Taylor, with production by Langley and Ben West.

Langley delivered the television debut of “Choosin’ Texas” at the 2025 CMA Awards on November 19, where she performed backed by a couple two-stepping, capturing the song’s clinging blend of heartbreak and country-dance energy.

Meanwhile, the chart dominance of Langley and Wilson comes as part of a wider dynamic in country music, highlighting a moment where female artists are increasingly reclaiming top positions on major charts.
