Global K-pop group BTS has made a strong return. Their “Comeback Live” Netflix special pulled in 18.4 million viewers worldwide. The one-hour concert streamed live from Seoul, South Korea, on March 21. It marked the first time all seven members performed together since October 2022. Fans had waited years for this moment.

The event also drew a massive live audience. Around 100,000 fans gathered at Gwanghwamun Square to watch the performance in person. Meanwhile, millions tuned in online. During the show, BTS performed songs from their new album ARIRANG, which dropped one day earlier. The release marks their first full album in six years.
The Netflix special quickly gained global traction. It reached No. 1 in 24 countries and entered the top 10 in 80 countries. In addition, the campaign generated 2.62 billion social impressions across Netflix platforms.
The comeback also made waves on streaming platforms. On the same day, Spotify reported that ARIRANG became the most-streamed album in a single day in 2026. It also set a new record as the most-streamed K-pop album in Spotify history.
BTS last released a full album in 2020 with Be, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. After that, the group paused activities as members completed military service and pursued solo projects.
Now, the group is entering a new phase. BTS plans to launch a global tour across 34 cities between 2026 and 2027. The tour is expected to be their biggest yet.
Before that, the group is promoting ARIRANG in the United States. They recently appeared at a Spotify event in New York City. They will also perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on consecutive nights.
Netflix is also expanding its BTS content. A new documentary titled BTS: The Return will premiere on March 27. The film will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of ARIRANG.
The group’s comeback could have a major financial impact. Reports suggest that the album and tour could generate over $1 billion in revenue within a year. With strong numbers and global attention, BTS has once again proven its influence. The comeback signals a powerful new chapter for one of the world’s biggest music groups.
