Drake Surprises Streamer University Attendees With Video Message & Gifts: ‘Congratulations to Everybody That Got Accepted’

Drake made a surprise appearance at the opening of Kai Cenat’s Streamer University 2026 through a pre-recorded video message, congratulating the latest class of creators while revealing that he had arranged special gifts for everyone accepted into the program. The unexpected moment took place during the orientation for the second edition of the content creator event, which officially began on July 15 and runs through July 20.

In the video, Drake welcomed both first-time and returning creators, telling attendees, “Congratulations to everybody that got accepted — all the new creators, all the veteran creators.” He encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity, learn from one another, and share their knowledge throughout the program. The message was met with cheers from students gathered for the opening ceremony.

Before ending the message, Drake revealed that he and his OVO team had left several gifts in the rooms of accepted students. “On behalf of us at OVO, I left you something—well, actually, I left you a few things—in your rooms,” he said, prompting another enthusiastic reaction from the audience.

Shortly after the orientation, attendees began sharing the contents of the gift packages on social media. Twitch streamer Madi2hottyy showcased items that included two bottles of Drake’s fragrance, Nike NOCTA apparel, Pokémon cards, and other OVO-branded merchandise. Photos and videos of the care packages quickly circulated online as Streamer University participants documented their first day on campus.

Streamer University returned for its second year with an expanded five-day schedule featuring established creators and entertainers serving in mentoring roles. Kai Cenat has assembled a roster of instructors and guests to help aspiring streamers develop skills in content creation, live broadcasting, and audience engagement. This year’s program also includes appearances from personalities such as T-Pain and other prominent creators participating in workshops and collaborative sessions.

Drake’s appearance continues his growing involvement in the streaming community. Over the past several months, the rapper has increased his presence on livestreams, collaborated with major creators, and used streaming platforms to debut music and connect with online audiences. His latest contribution to Streamer University builds on his support for Kai Cenat’s initiative after previously sending a congratulatory message to participants during the inaugural edition of the event.
