Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore” has expanded the original 12-track album to 16 songs following the release of four new tracks on Sept. 25. Billboard has now updated its song ranking to include the complete 16-track edition, bringing together its earlier ranking of the original album with a new ranking of the Encore material.
The original “The Life of a Showgirl” tracks remain on the first disc of the expanded release: “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” “Father Figure,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Ruin The Friendship,” “Actually Romantic,” “Wi$h Li$t,” “Wood,” “CANCELLED!,” “Honey” and “The Life of a Showgirl,” featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
The four new songs appear on the second disc. They are “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon,” bringing the complete edition to 16 tracks. Apple Music lists the full album at 55 minutes.
Billboard’s updated ranking places “Wi$h Li$t” at the top of its 16-song list. The publication describes the track as a song about Swift longing for a simpler life while reflecting on her career, priorities and relationship.
The expanded album was created after Swift reunited with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden. Swift said the additional songs came from a creative session during a trip to celebrate the success of the original album and described the new material as being created out of gratitude for the response to “The Life of a Showgirl.”
“The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore” was released less than two weeks before the original album’s one-year anniversary. The deluxe edition now gives the Showgirl era a 16-song tracklist, with Billboard’s latest update presenting its ranking of all four new additions alongside the original 12 songs.
