Music producer and Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff and actor Margaret Qualley have officially filed for divorce after three years of marriage. The filing was made on Friday, October 30, in Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn, New York, marking the formal end of their relationship following their separation earlier this year.
According to court records, Qualley is listed as the plaintiff and Antonoff as the defendant in an uncontested matrimonial action. The couple reportedly filed jointly, with the divorce proceeding described as uncontested. Their representatives had not publicly responded to requests for comment at the time of the initial reports.

The divorce filing follows the couple’s reported separation in July, after nearly three years of marriage. News of their breakup emerged on July 8, with reports indicating that they had been experiencing difficulties in their relationship. At the time, a representative for Qualley rejected speculation about infidelity or trust issues, emphasizing that the relationship had been based on respect and partnership.
“They have deep love and care for one another,” the representative said in a statement reported by People, while also asking for privacy as the two navigated the separation.
Qualley, 32, and Antonoff, 42, began dating in 2021 and became engaged the following year. They married in August 2023 in New Jersey, with a number of high-profile guests attending the ceremony, including Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum.
Before their separation, the couple occasionally collaborated creatively. Qualley appeared in the music video for Bleachers’ song “Tiny Moves,” which she also choreographed and co-directed. In a 2024 interview, she described the project as a love letter to Antonoff and spoke about enjoying creative work with him.
Antonoff recently addressed the separation publicly during an interview with The Guardian, published on October 25. The Grammy-winning producer discussed continuing to perform songs inspired by his relationship with Qualley during Bleachers’ ongoing tour. He said he had considered changing the setlist but ultimately decided to continue performing the material.
Antonoff described the experience as “really beautiful,” explaining that he did not want to rewrite the past or pretend that the happier moments behind those songs had never happened. He also spoke about the emotional connection between the music, his personal experiences and the audience listening to the performances.
The producer has continued touring with Bleachers following the release of the band’s album Everyone for Ten Minutes. In his recent interview, he explained that performing songs written during the marriage had taken on a different meaning after the relationship ended, but remained part of the band’s live performances.
Qualley is known for her roles in films including The Substance and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, as well as television projects such as Maid. Antonoff is a 14-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer whose credits include work with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Sabrina Carpenter. He is also known as the frontman of Bleachers and for his earlier involvement with the bands fun. and Steel Train.
The October 30 court filing follows months of public speculation about the couple’s relationship and makes their separation a formal divorce proceeding. As of October 31, neither Qualley nor Antonoff had issued a detailed public statement about the filing.
