Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour came to an unexpected end when the pop star found herself stuck in an elevator shortly after performing the final show of the 41-date tour. Grande shared behind-the-scenes photos of the incident with fans, showing herself inside the elevator with Ricky Alvarez.
The incident happened after Grande completed the tour’s final performance at London’s O2 Arena on Sept. 1. The show marked the conclusion of her first major concert tour since the Sweetener World Tour ended in 2019.

Grande’s elevator mishap came after an emotional finale in London. During the final concert, she thanked the audience and described the tour as one of the most beautiful and extraordinary experiences of her life. She closed the show with “Hampstead,” a track from her 2025 album Petal.
The singer later gave fans another glimpse of the tour’s final moments through photos and behind-the-scenes material. The elevator pictures showed her and Alvarez attempting to deal with the unexpected situation after leaving the stage.
The Eternal Sunshine tour began June 6 in Oakland, California, and traveled through North America before concluding with a series of London performances. The 41-show run featured music from across Grande’s catalog, including songs from Eternal Sunshine, Positions and Petal.
The elevator incident also followed a series of tour-ending updates from Grande, including a Sept. 4 video montage featuring highlights from the tour and a kiss with Alvarez during rehearsal.
Grande is now expected to step back from public-facing work following the completion of the tour. Her representative previously said she planned to take a break after the tour ended, while her team also confirmed that she would no longer appear in the planned London production of Sunday in the Park with George.
