Joey Bada$$ Says ‘The Goal’ Is to Drop a New Album This Summer

Joey Bada$$ has confirmed that his upcoming album is slated for release this summer, aiming to drop before August 30, 2025. He shared this update during an appearance on Uproxx’s Sound Check, stating, “The goal is to get the album out before August 30” .

In preparation, Joey has been actively releasing new music. In February, he dropped a three-track EP titled Pardon Me, which includes the singles “Sorry Not Sorry” and “The Ruler’s Back” . These tracks showcase his lyrical prowess and have been well-received by fans.

Regarding the direction of the new album, Joey has hinted at exploring themes of love and romance. In a Reddit post, he mentioned, “I definitely can see myself visiting the ‘AABA’ more conceptual and socially aware but a part of me wants to touch on love and my experience with romantic relationships a bit more now” . This suggests a potential shift towards a more introspective and emotionally resonant project.

Fans can expect a blend of Joey’s signature boom-bap style with new thematic explorations. With the album set to release this summer, anticipation is building for what promises to be a significant addition to his discography.
