Iron Maiden have announced a surprise return to North America in spring 2027, adding 16 shows to their “Run for Your Lives” tour as part of the band’s 50th-anniversary celebrations. The British heavy metal group confirmed the new dates on October 16, describing the run as the third and final North American leg of the tour and the last opportunity for fans to see the production in its current form.
The announcement comes after the band completed a successful North American leg in 2026, featuring sold-out performances across the United States and Canada. Although Iron Maiden had previously planned to take a break from touring in 2027, bassist and founding member Steve Harris said the group changed its plans after discussing the response to the recent shows. The band decided to return to regions it had missed, particularly the Pacific Northwest and southeastern United States.

“We’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed,” Harris said in the announcement. He added that the group also wanted to experience more major American festivals, with headline performances scheduled for Sonic Temple in Ohio and Boardwalk Rock in Maryland.
The 2027 tour begins on April 14 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, before moving to Vancouver, British Columbia, on April 16 and Portland, Oregon, on April 18. The band will then perform in Wheatland and Chula Vista, California, on April 20 and 22, followed by a show at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino on April 24. The western leg continues in Phoenix on April 26 before the band heads to Dallas on April 28.
May brings further performances across the southern and eastern United States. Iron Maiden are scheduled to play Tampa, Florida, on May 1 and West Palm Beach on May 2, followed by Atlanta on May 5 and Raleigh, North Carolina, on May 7. The band will then perform in Hartford, Connecticut, on May 9, before reaching UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, on May 11.
The tour concludes with two festival headline appearances. Iron Maiden are scheduled to headline Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on May 14, followed by Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland, on May 16. The festival performances will close the North American dates of the “Run for Your Lives” tour.
Fellow British metal band Bullet for My Valentine will join Iron Maiden on the arena and amphitheatre dates, with The Raven Age also appearing on the bill. The announcement marks a return to a three-band British lineup, something Iron Maiden’s management noted had not occurred since 1983. Bullet for My Valentine are also preparing to release their album Social Apocalypse on March 19, 2027.
Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood said the 2026 shows attracted audiences spanning multiple generations and included some of the biggest concerts the band had played in North America. He also confirmed that the band plans to bring its Eddie’s Dive Bars fan events back alongside the 2027 dates, extending the activities surrounding the anniversary tour beyond the performances themselves.
The “Run for Your Lives” tour celebrates Iron Maiden’s 50-year history and features a production built around the band’s early catalogue. By the end of the complete tour, the group expects to have performed 107 shows across 36 countries for more than three million fans. The band has described the newly announced dates as the definitive final leg of the anniversary run.
Tickets for the 2027 shows will be available through several presales. The Iron Maiden Fan Club presale begins Monday, October 19, at 10 a.m. local time, with additional presales scheduled throughout the week. General ticket sales begin Friday, October 23, at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages will also be offered, including seated tickets, access to the official Trooper pre-show party and exclusive merchandise. Separate ticket information is available through the Sonic Temple and Boardwalk Rock festival websites.
The newly announced dates extend Iron Maiden’s touring plans into 2027 after the band had initially expected to take the year off from live performances. With the North American shows now confirmed as the final chapter of the “Run for Your Lives” tour, the group will bring its 50th-anniversary production to cities and festival audiences that were not included in the previous leg.
