Kylie Minogue to Deliver 20-Minute ‘Spectacle’ at AFL Grand Final

Kylie Minogue is set to headline the pre-game entertainment at the 2026 AFL Grand Final, with organizers promising a 20-minute performance described as a major production for the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Grand Final is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, at the MCG.

The performance will mark Minogue’s return to Australia’s biggest football stage and her first AFL Grand Final appearance as the headline act. She was announced as the Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment performer in March, making her the first Australian artist to headline the event since 2021.

According to new details released ahead of the event, the show is being planned as a large-scale production, with the AFL and production teams describing it as a “spectacle.” A dedicated “Kylie Village” has also been announced as part of the Grand Final entertainment activities around the MCG.

Minogue is expected to perform a selection of songs from her extensive catalog during the approximately 20-minute set. The AFL has not released a complete setlist ahead of the performance.

The Grand Final will take place at the MCG on Sept. 26, with the match scheduled for 2:30 p.m. local time. The two teams competing for the premiership will be determined during the ongoing finals series.

Minogue’s appearance follows recent Grand Final performances by international acts including Robbie Williams, KISS, Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg. Her selection brings an Australian-born headliner back to the event after several years of overseas stars leading the pre-game entertainment.
