Tyler, The Creator Has Had Enough of Timothée Chalamet in Fiery ‘Marty Supreme’ Trailer: Watch

The trailer for Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, was released in August 2025. The film stars Timothée Chalamet as Marty Mauser, a ping-pong prodigy aiming for fame in 1950s America. Tyler, the Creator appears in a prominent supporting role, credited under his real name, Tyler Okonma. This marks his first major feature film performance.

The trailer includes dramatic scenes between Chalamet and Tyler’s characters. The footage shows high-energy sports sequences, stylistic visuals, and intense confrontations, with Tyler’s character visibly fed up with Marty’s growing ego. The film’s tone is satirical and fast-paced, with retro-styled production design and 35mm cinematography. It features original music by Daniel Lopatin and was produced by A24 with a reported budget of $70 million.

Gwyneth Paltrow co-stars with a dramatic transformation and has confirmed that her role involves explicit scenes with Chalamet. She has said she did not use an intimacy coordinator during filming. The cast also includes Fran Drescher, Odessa A’Zion, Kevin O’Leary, Penn Jillette, and Philippe Petit.

Filming took place in New York City, concluding in Japan in early 2025. Chalamet trained intensively in ping-pong and performed a number of his stunts. Production designer Jack Fisk and cinematographer Darius Khondji worked on the film.

Marty Supreme is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025.
