Tyler, the Creator recently identified his feature on Clipse’s “P.O.V.” as one of the “top 8 moments” of his life—a statement brimming with personal significance.
In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Tyler described the experience of pressing play and hearing his own voice on a Clipse album as something monumental. He emphasized the weight of that moment, saying, “I got Grammys, I got whips, I done did it all. That might be top eight moments of my life. So thank you to Pusha, Malice, [Pharrell]. For real, love y’all down.”

His contribution didn’t come easily. Tyler revealed that he re-recorded his verse between 79 and 100 times while touring in Dublin, admitting he was so anxious about getting it right that he nearly asked Pusha T to scrap the verse altogether. “I can’t f—k this up for me,” he said, referring to collaborating with his “Mount Rushmores,” words that underscore the gravity he placed on the moment.
The song “P.O.V.” itself is one of the standout tracks from Clipse’s reunion album Let God Sort Em Out, released on July 11, 2025. The song launched the album onto the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 65 and helped push the album to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
Tyler’s reflection not only celebrates the success of the collaboration, but also hints at a deeper emotional connection. For an artist who’s achieved countless milestones, this moment—stepping into a legacy he’d admired for decades—remains among his most meaningful.
