Limp Bizkit returned to the stage on November 29, 2025, in Mexico City for their first performance since the passing of their founding bassist Sam Rivers, who died on October 18, 2025, at age 48.

Before launching into their set, the band premiered an emotional tribute video that showcased footage of Rivers performing on stage over the years, concluding with the messages “Sam Rivers, our brother forever” and “Sam Rivers, we love you forever.” The band members turned their backs to the audience to watch the video together, embracing when it ended while the crowd chanted his name.
For the show, the bass duties were handled by Kid Not (also known as Richie Buxton), a songwriter/producer associated with the tour’s opening act.
Earlier that day, drummer John Otto shared a heartfelt statement on social media, reflecting on his decades-long friendship with Rivers. He described the night as “a first I never wanted to experience,” remembering Rivers as a brother, a friend, and “the godfather to my girls.” He vowed that the band would honour Rivers’ life and legacy in every show they play moving forward.
Rivers had been a member of Limp Bizkit since the band’s formation in 1994. The band originally confirmed his death by calling him their “heartbeat,” praising his bass work and saying his contribution to their sound was “pure magic.”
