The second day of Billboard Latin Music Week 2025 in Miami Beach united some of the brightest young stars in Latin music. They gathered for an honest talk about equality, artistry, and resilience.
During the “Women’s Panel: Global Rise,” moderated by Billboard Español editor Sigal Ratner-Arias, artists Aitana (Spain), Silvana Estrada (Mexico), Yami Safdie (Argentina), Ela Taubert (Colombia), and Yailin (Dominican Republic) spoke openly about their challenges and victories as women in music.
Each artist, all in their twenties, brought a unique voice and background. Yet they shared one common goal: to redefine success for women in the Latin music industry. Their stories already mark milestones. Silvana Estrada won the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2022. Ela Taubert earned the same award in 2024, while Aitana stands as one of Spain’s most-streamed pop artists.
“When we come together, we are stronger,” said Estrada. She explained how competition often divides women in the industry. “That rivalry weakens us. Unity makes us powerful.”
The panel showed how collaboration and confidence continue to transform Latin music. Each story revealed strength, authenticity, and determination to challenge old norms.
Now in its 30th year, Latin Music Week celebrates its legacy as the world’s largest gathering of Latin artists and industry leaders. This year’s edition connects directly to the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2025, airing October 23 on Telemundo and Peacock, where Bad Bunny will receive the title of Artist of the 21st Century.
