Kehlani is celebrating a career milestone as their latest single “Folded” climbs into the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 for the first time, landing at No. 7 on this week’s chart. The achievement marks a major moment for the R&B artist, whose blend of emotional storytelling and smooth production has made “Folded” one of 2025’s breakout tracks.

“First top 10 on Billboard. lucky #7 gratitude is endless,” Kehlani wrote in an Instagram post on Monday (Nov. 3), ahead of performing the song later that night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Originally released in June, “Folded” gained renewed momentum last month with the release of the Homage Pack EP, which featured star-studded remixes with Toni Braxton, Brandy, JoJo, Mario, Ne-Yo, and Tank. The collaborative project reignited the song’s popularity, propelling it seven spots up the Hot 100 and earning Kehlani additional milestones across multiple charts.
The track now stands as Kehlani’s first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Streaming Songs and Radio Songs charts, as well as their first No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts.
In a recent Billboard Family interview, Kehlani shared the emotional reasoning behind releasing the single after a break from music. Speaking to her five-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White, the singer said:
“I just really thought it was a really cool way to come back into music after I hadn’t put out music for a while. And I was pretty confident about it. I thought it was a good song.”
Before “Folded,” Kehlani’s highest-charting entry on the Hot 100 came as a feature on Cardi B’s “Safe” from the rapper’s Billboard 200-topping sophomore album, which peaked at No. 26. Their 2018 collaboration “Ring” from Invasion of Privacy peaked at No. 28.
This week, “Safe” also hit No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay, becoming Cardi B’s 10th leader and Kehlani’s second, following “Folded,” which topped the chart earlier this month.
With “Folded” marking a defining moment in Kehlani’s career and a new album on the way in 2026, the singer’s return feels both triumphant and deeply personal, a blend of gratitude, and growth.
“Folded” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
